It's everything Intel advertised it to be!

P3 Coppermine 800 MhZ /w RDRAM

Date of Review:  Jan 14, 2000
Review: Well, the P3 coppermine is finally out. I certainly am not pleased that Intel delayed the introduction of the coppermine for so long. I have been waiting for the P3 coppermine since early October. And when it actually did come out, there was such a...

Much More Speed Increase Than I Expected! Get A P3!

Date of Review:  Feb 24, 2000
Review: Recently I gave into the ?pressure? and purchased a new Intel Pentium III processor. For over a year my main system was running on a P2-350, and truthfully I thought that the speed was incredibly fast and that I did not need an upgrade. However,...

Something IMPORTANT you may not know...

Date of Review:  Mar 16, 2000
Review: When researching the Pentium 3's I found that IBM has incorporated a security feature on the processor. This is feature creates a lack of privacy, when using this processor you are giving access to your ENTIRE HARDDRIVE to large companies (and...

The One with SSE

Date of Review:  Jan 25, 2000
Review: Intel has been in a lot of pressure, especially after the release of the AMD Athlons. No other consumer based CPU can outperform the Athlon. When I'm refering to the Athlon, I'm only considering the high end market of the computer industry. Well for...

Overclocking ability of the FCPGA

Date of Review:  Jan 25, 2000
Review: Recently Intel released a flurry of new CPUs into the market to combat the popular AMD Athlon.

One new CPU that was released by Intel is the FCPGA 500E. FCPGA stands for flip chip pin grid array. ( Please see my FCPGA article:

Old faithfull

Date of Review:  Feb 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you see it cheep snap it up, otherwise go elsewhere.
Review: The Pentium III 450 was Intel?s shortest lived processor. When it was released about a year ago it wasn?t the second fastest cpu behind Intel?s Pentium III 500. However, there were lots of privacy concerns over Intel giving each processor it?s own...

Not Neccessarily More Bang For The Buck

Date of Review:  Apr 6, 2001
The Bottom Line: Are you willing to pay an extra 100.00 for 1/2 second faster gameplay? How about a smoother animated menu? The extra cache on the PII rarely shows a performance increase.
Review: Well no one ever believes it, I feel Intel has the market fooled with thier processors. The difference between Intels Celeron and the PIII is only a small bit of cache or memory on the processor. I feel the price they charge for this is outrageous...

Pentium III 500 - Gets the job done.

Date of Review:  Apr 28, 2000
Review: After going through several pre-made computers from Dell, who are local to where I live, and being frustrated by several problems with upgrading, it was decided to gut the system and take out all the good parts then build a brand new machine. The...
