Methenyness

Pat Metheny is possibly one of the best jazz guitarists alive. There is no other album to sum up his creativeness, jiggyness, and overall vibe for the music than Imaginary Day. This is a swinging album coated with Metheny's rich, robust, personal sound. His improvisational techniques are beyond imaginable, especially with the use of diatonics and harmonics on the upper register of his neck. This CD is a swinging album, Metheny has taken jazz to a new level. If you like jazz guitar, just start listening to him. He has such a great sense of rythymic and melodic continuity which I like best about this album. He is also much of a spiritual player, and during live recordings, Metheny becomes really intense with his 'axe.' Do yourself a favor and buy this album!
