Wish I never got one
Date of Review: Nov 23, 2004
The Bottom Line: Like I said before we wished the car would not be fixable from my accident, and just eat the rest of what we owe on it. Never buy this car.
Ok, I can say that when I first got my car I was happy despite that fact that people laughed at me, but hey it was all that my husband and I could afford at the time. I guess things started going down hill when the A/C was not cooling as cold as it should, and when I turned my car on it smelled like a wet dog. I live in Florida so I know all about the mold that can grow in the A/C if you do not turn on the fan and let it try to dry out about 5 to 10 miles before you get from A to B. Then there's that check engine light that ALWAYS comes on and goes off when it feels like it. When it came on the first time I took it in to the dealership, they told me that it was from not tighten the gas cap when I get gas, well that is a bunch of crap because I turn that thing 5 times when I get gas. The funny thing is a few days after we got it back from the dealership that light came on, and we had not even got any gas. But you think that great 5 year bumper to bumper, that would cover it being in the shop. Well it doesn't the dealership says that if the source of you check engine light is due to your gas cap, it is not covered we had to pay $30.00. Last time I checked the gas cap was in between the front bumper and rear bumper. You would think that if something so stupid like not tighten the gas cap causes your check engine light to come on why don't they put a check gas cap light in the car. Then the front driver door does not close all the way you have to slam it shut. My car shakes when I hit 70 miles an hour, but from the dealership "Nothing is wrong with anything we ran all the test needed and we have no idea what you are talking about."
Just to get my point across even more. 8 out of 10 times when I start my car there is a bunch of noises and sounds. Sometimes it struggles to even turn over, I panic when I am away from home sometimes thinking the car is going to break down on me. On Saturday I got into a accident air bags never went off, asked the police officer if they should have and he looked at my car and said "With the way your car looks with that kind of damage the air bags should have gone off." My husband and I hate this car so much we wished that it would just get totaled out and just eat the rest of the money we own on the thing. Well we are not that lucky 4500.00 worth of damage and they want to fix it, that is more than half of what the car is worth blue book. Maybe now I might find the source of that check engine light. I don't know maybe my car was just made on a Friday or on a Monday.
