Lets Start With Installation

Being Somewhat of a handy person, I found the installation to be very easy. Even if you've never installed a ceiling fan before, Hunter makes it pretty easy for anyone and the instructions are quite clear.

I control mine with the pull chain, but the fan can be controlled with wireless remote (sold separately), or a wall switch (also sold separately).

Appearance

The appearance of this fan is very nice, and when you look at it you can just see the quality. I bought this fan yo replace a cheap inefficient fan from Canadian Tire. Even the screws and mounting hardware are of a higher quality. This model has a brushed nickel housing and 5 reversible (cherry/maple) blades with a span of 42 inches.

This fan can be installed with or without the light kit, and looks good either way. The light kit has 3 lights with 3 swirly frosted glass shades.

My Thoughts

There's nothing I don't like about this fan. It is absolutely silent when it comes to motor noise. There are 3 speeds : High, Medium and Low; but the only sound you will hear, is powerful wind noise at the highest speed.

I installed this fan flush to the ceiling (without the downrod) because the upstairs ceilings in this house are only 7 and a half feet, and I am 6'3". But even with the light kit installed, I still have enough clearance. Extension downrods can also be purchased.
