A very nice car
Pros:
Great off-roads. Decent gasoline consumption. Huge cabin space.
Cons:
There is no way to switch this car to and from 4WD.
The Bottom Line:
I like this car for the fast response when I drive it (I specially asked for the standard version), durability, and for its look!

Author's Review
I don't know much about the technical aspect of cars so my review is going to address particularly the non-technical aspects of this car. I had a Honda Civic for 3 years before I decided that it was time for a new car. I do a lot of outdoors activities, many of them involving driving off-roads, in the woods, or on un-paved roads. My previous car although was doing great in town, didn't have a lot of clearance, and I ended up changing the muffler twice a year. Due to my lifestyle when it came to making up my mind, I knew that I have to go for a car with a higher clearance. Still I didn't want to give up on a good gasoline consumption.
Now after more than two years since I bought it, I can say that I am happy with my choice. There are few remote places where I didn't take this car, and it mostly performed great. If it was on a sandy beach, or in the woods, or on unplowed dirt roads, this car has done a great job. The storage area is large enough for me to put gear for 4 person on a week-long camping trip, or a deflated 8-people whitewater raft, with paddles, helmets, and life vests for everyone! And BTW, I didn't have to change yet the tires in spite of the fact that I didn't spare them from anything.
Things I like less:
1) The gasoline consumption is about 22-25 miles a gallon and it tends to DRASTICALLY drop once you reach 70 miles an hour.
2) I had to completely change the breaks before I reached 40,000 miles.
3) My passengers told me that the seat belts in the back tend to lock. Since I heard this many times, I would assume that there is some truth involved.
4) After 6 or more hours of driving the seats tend to be less comfortable than on other SUVs.
Things I really don't like:
1) There is no way to switch this car to and from 4WD! The 4WD mode is supposed to kick in automatically, but trust me, that's not always the case. I live in New England where it snows a lot, and this car occasionally failed to get out of snowed covered driveways because the 4WD didn't kick in.
2) The standard car is more expensive than the automatic one. And if you, like me, like the feel of being in control when driving, youll have to pay good extra money for this.
