Made cheap and it shows.

I purchased the Homedics Sound Spa Classic Clock Radio because it had everything I was looking for. A sound spa with many options to choose from for my white noise needs, an alarm clock and a radio all in one.

There are a great many flaws in the design of this clock that make it not really worth the money or the effort.

The first of these flaws is the sound spa feature. The sounds featured on the clock only have about a 6-10 second loop on them that are very obvious. I tried using the surf and rain sounds as white noise when I slept, but the obvious break in the noise when it looped drove me crazy.

The second flaw is the button layout on the front of the clock. They are laid out in a way that makes it extremely easy to accidentally change the time when you reach to turn the power off to the radio/spa sounds or even when you are attempting to turn the radio on. You don't have to hold more than one button down to set the time, so you can do it without even knowing it.

The third flaw is that it's extremely bright. Even at the lowest setting, I found the LED display to be too much for me.

And lastly, the entire thing is cheaply made. The speakers are terrible, and the feature that puts the time on the ceiling stopped working abruptly after about 3 weeks. For the price you pay on this clock, it really should be made a little better.
