Sony MegaStorage® CDP-CX355 300-Disc CD Changer / Player

I purchased this product from a local electronics store (Pacific Sales). For the time I had it, I only put in 5 CD's and playback was great...I just haven't had time to truly test it. The point of this review is to inform readers of Sony's warranty response. I took the machine in on June 25, 2003 and they said it should be ready in 10 days. I got the machine back on July 2, 2003 and everything appears to be working. Apparently one of the boards needed to be replaced.

On September 7, 2003, the problem resurfaced. The local Sony service center moved over 60 miles away so now I will have to go to a small, local authorized service center. I would not purchase this machine again. I would think twice about buying Sony again.

I like the look of the machine and the remote seemed to cover all. I didn't need to read any instructions for basic playback but will have to for the advanced features. The one thing about this set is that it does take a while for it to load up a disk and play.
