These thing leaves a stovetop kettle or mug o' water in the microwave in the dust. 1500 watts must be the answer. At 2 cups of tea a day, this will save me 24 hours per year!! Wow, what a savings!!!

I especially like the removeable base setup. Within about a minute, I have boiling water. I simply lift the kettle and poor. I still feel the side of the kettle, thinking that one of these days it will be hot. Never! It is always as cool as it was before I turned it on.

The 1500 watts will probably dim your lights a little, but it certainly isn't a reason to not buy it. I curious to see what hardware is inside that allows it to work so quickly.

You won't be unhappy with this kettle. Buy it and enjoy.
