A great price for a Dual appliance.

After moving to our new house we needed to buy new appliances. Since money was tight, I bought the Toastation and have been very happy with the results so far. It is compact,economical to run and heats up quickly.
We purchased the standard black Toastation with chrome surrounding the glass oven door. It has a more expensive and attractive appearance than what you normally get with a thirty dollar kitchen appliances.
What you get is really two appliances in one, a toaster and a mini-oven. Since the Toastation is compact you can only use one of these features at a time. The dual features are easy to use with only two knobs, one controls the temperature of the oven and the other one controls the darkness of your toast. The only other moving part is the lever that changes the appliance from oven to toaster mode.
The pop-up toaster is easy to use. There is a slot on the top of the oven that allows two pieces of bread to cook simultaneously. Hamilton Beach put an extra large slot there to allow for large bagels to easily slide up and down without being caught on the sides of the toaster.
Now I will admit that the toaster oven is small. But it does serve the purpose for which we bought it. It cooks small meals like Hot Pockets or mini pizzas almost as fast as our old microwave. The temperature on the Toastation goes to 450 degrees in about three minutes. This is a lot quicker than my conventional oven, which takes about twenty minutes and lots of electricity.
What I like most about this toaster is the inexpensive price. Since I use the mini-oven primarily when I am hungry, the speed at which items cook is also a plus. Lastly, the clean up is easy with a crumb tray that is effortless to remove, wipe down, and put back, that even a caveman can do it.
What I dislike about the toaster is the time it takes to toast the bread. Because the heating coils do not move closer to the bread when you engage the toaster, it takes longer for the bread to toast. Another minor inconvenience is that it is not equipped with a timer. I fixed this by using the timer on my conventional oven.
