Want to love it, but hate it so far!

We also have the "little monster". I love the idea of it..... small, washes and drys in one unit, front loading and great for our small space in our condo in South Florida.
We bought it from Brandsmart and from the moment we got it we had problems. First, the instructions in the booklet for unpacking are totally wrong. They have you putting back the shipping bolt and then to discover the bolt grinding against the drum. We also did not receive any cups for the detergent or fabric softener so we had water overflowing from that door. After several washings, we had to call the store where we bought it and they referred us to a appliance store for repairs...."a Haier service rep." They came out and after diagnosing the problem 3 times, have yet to fix it. We have changed 3 different parts so far! We bought it in Feb. of 2003 and it will be out of warrenty at the end of this month. We have used it approx. 20 to 30 times in the year we have had it.
I have to be honest and say we were out of town for 4 of those months. Now we are back since Nov. of 2003 and we haven't used it yet. The last repair man ordered a new blower for the dryer as it has burned out. They now have a new design with a little fan to cool the part.
We have made numerous calls to the Haier Corp. headquarters in New York and spoke to various reps. They are sending out a new unit and I hope this one will work. if not, I will fight to get my money back.
I am so tired of lugging clothes to the laundermat!

I'm so jealous of all of you that got a good one! Maybe this next one will be!
There are quite a few drawbacks....very small loads, the clothes come out very hot and you do have to be careful of zippers and anything metal. Excessive wrinkles are a big problem but i solved that by using fabric softner and purchasing a wonderful product.......a table top presser, that I love love love!
A must if you have the "little monster"!
