Pros:
washer works ok; it's small; it sounds like a good idea
Cons:
dryer steams and wrinkles clothes; shrinkage, flooding; customer service
The Bottom Line:
Buy a washer. Buy a dryer. Don't consider buying a combination unit and certainly don't buy this one!

I was excited when the landlord proclaimed that my wife and I were going to get a washer and dryer. I was impressed when she said that it was actually going to be only one unit. That's as excited as I ever was about this product.
The Haier XQG50-11 is a horrendous machine. Many times I've considered going to a laundromat to do the wash just to avoid using it.
It washes fine I guess, but:
Complaint #1: The dryer is oh so slow. the recommended load for the dry cycle is half of that for the wash cycle. And it's supposed to be a set-and-forget machine. Go figure.
Complaint #2: The dryer steams your clothes until they are hot and moist. Not dry. You still have to air them out. Tough to do in the winter! I'm sure that you could cook shrimp and broccoli in the dryer. Great for creative chefs, bad for your clothes. My wife has lost a several shirts and jeans to shrinkage.
Complaint #3: When it's done cooking your clothes, they look like prunes they're so wrinkled. I hate ironing. I hate this dryer.
Complaint #4: This stupid device leaks water onto the floor about once a month. No reason really. The technician said it's because of the lint trap. Apparently you're never supposed to open it, because if you do and don't close it "properly" the washer spews water onto the floor. Lots of water. It's happened half a dozen times now in the 7 months we've had it.
Complaint #5: Haier. Their customer support is non-existant. I wrote several e-mails to them. All went unanswered. When you call, the CSRs have no power but to refer your complaint to a scheduler to schedule a site visit if necessary. The company they referred me to (there is only one in my area: NEW JERSEY!) didn't keep appointments.
In summary, it didn't take much convincing for my landlord to attempt to return the device. Haier wouldn't, of course. It took her forever just to get an answer from them. Avoid this stupid thing at all costs. Buy something else and you'll be much better off!
