20.5 cu. ft. Haier HUF205PA Upright Freezer

I bought my freezer from Danny's TV in Norman, Oklahoma. My old freezer, a Fridigaire, worked fine, but I was tired of the semi-annual defrost, so I purchased this frost free model. After 24 hours the items on the top two shelves had thawed and dripped all over the items below, creating quite a mess. I turned the dial setting to maximum cool and another 24 hours later, my freezer thermometer showed 42 degrees fahrenheit, and everything was thawing. Danny's couldn't send a service man until Monday, and this disaster occurred on Saturday.

Two phone calls to Haier resulted in instructions to call A&E Service for emergency repair. When I called A&E they told me they don't offer home service in my area.

Today Danny's is sending out a replacement unit, and they are pre-cooling it to make sure it works. I'll update this review in a few weeks and report on the performance of the new unit.
