Cons: Maps are out of date. Cost for new maps is $70

Be aware that this unit comes with outdated maps. Those maps leave me unimpressed.

New maps have been issued. Recent buyers of certain Garmin GPS units are entitled to a free update.

But, you will NOT get the free map update if you buy this unit.

Your maps will be out of date already unless you pay $70 for the update.

For that price, I would buy a more modern unit.
