Great GPS for work

I work as a Park Ranger in one of our mountain Parks. I’m involved in creating fuel breaks so when the next “big “fire hits our area, our parks will be somewhat safer.
I have the older 76 model, but noticed the extra features that the 76CSX has from a CalFire Captain, and saw the advantages of using it for my job.
I try to make the breaks out of the view of the general public. Quite often, in doing so, my breaks will parallel trails. With this GPS, I can use the tracking feature to track (Create a line) were the trail is, and if I want to be 200’ away, I can confidently flag my break using this feature, to make sure I’m the correct distance away from the trail. This same feature can be used in creating the width of the break. One side is flagged and marked on the GPS and I can then go 100-200’ for the opposite side of the break.

What I don’t like is the software for this device. Garmin Topo is out of date (Even with the latest version). Trails that have existed for years and years do not show up, or they are incorrectly routed. However, you are forced to live with this software with this GPS.
