MY personal experience with the wonderful Garmin eTrex legend GPS Receiver.

The Bottom Line: The bottom line would be if you are an outdoor enthusiast and you dont already have a GPS receiver, the Garmin eTrex legend is a great unit.
My review is about the Garmin e-trex logend GPS receiver. This is classified as an input device because I can attach it to my computer and transfer data back and forth. I really like this GPS because one, it didn't cost me an arm and a log, roughly $160 and two, it is really easy to use. One this I didn't like about this card was it didn't have a USB port cable. It came with a parallel port adapter which I don't really like. I also don't like the screen on the unit, I wish it was a little bit bigger and with better resolution. I asked for this unit as a Christmas present because I do a lot of hunting and hiking. The unit works great in wide open areas that are not very wooded, but sometimes in thickly wooded areas it has a hard time finding a satellite signal. You should always have a compass as a back up and I learned this the hard way. The users manual was very helpful to me when I first got the GPS. Some of the more technical aspects of the unit are fairly difficult to figure out but with the help of the users manual I was up and going in no time.
