Pure CRAP!

Pros: NONE

Cons: 1. Can't understand the prompts 2. Malfunctions 3. Playback to caller is EXTREMELY LOW

The Bottom Line: Don't waste your money! Either that or be sure to KEEP YOUR RECEIPT and all packaging!

I 100% agree with the other review on this answering machine. Our other machine (GE 29869GE2) died and unfortuntely we had to replace it. THIS is an upgraded version of that and what I HORRIBLE upgrade this was.

1. There is one particular part that is said that makes absolutely no sense! The OLD machine would say

"Message 1"

THIS one seems to say

"nunsense 1" before it plays the first msg that was recorded on it..

That's right.. Makes absolutely no sense!

2. You record a LOUD message and it plays it back at a fairly loud voice back ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE. However to the caller, it's almost so low that they would have to be sitting in a church or a empty closet to hear anything... so quiet!

3. The first month it would record a MAX of 4 msgs. After which it refused to record anything else until it was deleted. THEN suddenly and without warning we noticed people saying we were not calling them back even tho they left us messages. We got into trouble by the landlord as VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGES WERE NOT RETURNED PROMPTLY. We decided to call from an outside line to see what is up, and discovered it would play the recorded prompt (EXTREMELY LOW), then BEEP. You start to record your msg and 10 seconds later is beeped and hung you up. HOWEVER, there would be NO message stored on the machine.

This machine is going back RIGHT NOW! It's going back to Canadian Tire where I bought it and am shocked this UPDATE is WORSE (NO COMPARISON!) to my old one.
