Author's Review
This small but sturdy digital camera can practically fit in the palm of your hand. It is thin but not skinny, and the picture screen is big, but not giant. I got this as a gift for Christmas this past year. My husband and I didn't get one for our wedding, but asked for it. After looking around at other camera choices, we never found one that we considered buying, because we didn't want to pay an arm and a leg just to have the benefit of not buying any more disposable camera's. Brand did not seem to matter much, but it was more, "are the people we take pictures of going to have to hold their smile for ten seconds before the last flash goes off?" Or, "Will we end up with a camera that needs it's own beach bag to fit it in?" I never realized there were so many different options to worry about. After we got the Fujifilm FinePix A340 camera, I read through everything to familiarize myself with all the features. The package it comes in has very well laid out instructions, and you also get some starter equipment. A small tripod, memory card and wallet, and a USB/video cable adapter for saving your pictures to your PC. The only thing extra we've had to buy is of course picture paper, and a ninety-seven cent camera case. I am very impressed with how quickly your pictures are taken without the delay. I don't notice any delay. You center your picture manually or automatically, press the button, and flash, your done. Your picture appears on the screen for you to see right away. You can also take a short video (without sound) for up to 60 seconds, or 240 seconds. The screen is a 1/2.7-inch CCD. It's a perfect size to be able to see all the details of your photograph. The layout is self explanatory and organized. You can easily delete your pictures, change the light settings, and scroll through the pictures on your camera with a couple pushes of a button . As long as you don't leave your face cover open all the time, your battery should last a couple months. The camera will shut itself off after it has not been used for longer than thirty seconds. Overall, this camera is an excellent purchase for the computer wizards, and the just learning types.
