For those with 'too warm' issues.

I see that others have had the same warming issue I was experiencing.

Apparently, Frigidaire/Electrolux has figured this one out - a design flaw located the thermostat too close to the cooling coil, leading to false readings of the real temperature of the unit. The technician simply relocates the thermostat, and everything is OK.

I also asked them about another readers comments on the compressor always running - he said that modern fridges do that to conserve energy. I didn't go into the details, but he implied that smaller more efficient compressors that run longer use less juice than big ones that pour lots of cold air then shutdown.

Forgot to ask about the shelves - mine seem fine, but I would suggest owners with problems should consider asking a local authorized service technician - these types of issues are always being fixed and the parts are being revised.
