Watch out for wheel trouble

I have owned a 2006 Ford Ranger since new and it has been what I'd expect as far as the value for price paid, but be careful of the aluminium wheels. On a recent trip the drivers side rear lug nuts worked loose and eventually fell off taking the wheel trim cover with them. Luckily, I pulled over before the wheel parted company with the truck. Give Ford it's due when you check the owner's manual they say that this is a likely thing to happen, so check them lug nuts after any wheel service and before long trips.
PS don't expect much from the roadside assistance feature they are sympathetic but not helpful. I eventually got myself off the interstate by myself and after trying the nearest Ford dealer had repairs done at a service station in Clearfield PA.
