The King of Trucks
Pros:
Lots of room, power, and towing ability
Cons:
brakes need upgraded, paint chips/dull spots
The Bottom Line:
Great truck. They regularly get over 250000 miles, which I plan on testing. I recommend this truck for anyone.

Author's Review
I bought this truck used from a local dealership with only 36000 miles. It has the 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel engine. I was looking for an older truck for a lower price, when when they showed me this truck I was sold. All I had to do was convince the wife, which ended up being not all that difficult.
GENERAL OVERVIEW
This is a 2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty XLT Crew Cab 4x4 Long Bed Diesel. It is definately a BIG truck. It has air conditioning, power windows/ locks/ mirrors/ and dual seats, dual front air bags, auto headlights, fog lights, 4 wheel drive with external hubs, and an 8 foot bed. Of these options there are 2 I am disappointed with. First being the power mirrors. The drivers mirror is good, but the pass. mirror, when being adjusted only moves down and out, or up and in. I have to adjust it manually and hope it doesn't get bumped when I wash it. The other option I am not happy with is the external hubs. I guess I have been spoiled having either shift on the fly, or push button 4 wheel drive. It seems to be a hassle to have to get out when you get stuck in snow or mud to lock the hubs.
Overall I am very satisfied with the options.
INTERIOR
The seats are covered in gray cloth that seems to be holding up well, especially against my 2 kids ages 2 and 4. The front seat has individually power adjustable seats with a third seat between them. The back of the third (middle seat) folds down as a console with 2 cup holders and a separate console box. There is also a pull out cup holder in the dash that has 2 cup holders. The back seat is a bench with 3 seat belts, 2 shoulder, 1 lap. I am 6'2" and can sit in the back seat without touching the front seat with my knees. None of the interior cloth seems to be staining
EXTERIOR
I have 2 tone paint. The upper is a blueish-green and the lower is a white color. There are chips in the paint. Some are in usual spots like edges of doors and hood, but some spots seem unusual like wheel wells and edge of the bedby the cab. There is also a faded spot about 8 or 10 inches under the top of the bed on the drivers side that is about 2 feet long and 3 inches high. I am unsure as to what caused this, but it appears to be from rubbing ropes or something similar. This particular truck came with chrome hub caps that are holding up well. The bed of the truck is Rhino Lined and it has held up well. There are no tears or thin spots. I have used it roughly with firewood and moving and whatnot. No overall complaints about the exterior.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
This has the 7.3 L Powerstroke Diesel with an automatic transmission. It has had more than enough power for what I have used it for. I have yet to tow anything, but I have had the bed loaded down with firewood, approximately 1 1/2 cords possible 2 cords worth of rounds and the truck never even showed me it was being worked. The transmission has shifted very smoothly from the start. I have not had to have anything looked at or worked on in the 6 months I have owned it. I have not had the truck in 4 wheel yet, so I cannot comment on that. One thing I will add here that is not engine related is the brakes. It is a heavy truck and requires longer than I am used to. I started driving "normal" and ended up heating up the brakes. They stop good when you need to, but they like the slower approach.
