Nice swing for the price
Date of Review: Mar 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: I think it is a nice swing for the price.
After many hours of researching swings I finally decided on this one. Mainly I liked the ability to use it for more than a few months. The swing can be used up to 25 pounds and then converts to a toddler rocking chair (up to 40 pounds). I have had this swing for a week and am satisfied so far. It was simple to set up; taking me 40 minutes. You will need someone to help you put the legs together. I tried to do this myself but could not steady them.
With a couple of practices it became very easy to take the seat out of the swing arms and put on the floor. It has two speeds for the swing. It seems to take awhile for it to get moving...and I'm wondering if the motor will burn out. The music sounds like it's coming from inside a tin can. I usually leave it off. It plays five songs including Rock A By Baby and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and has two volume settings. It is light and the whole unit is easy to move. I takes up 3ft x 2 ft pf floor space.
After taking it out of the swing arms it can also be converted to a stationary seat. All you do is flip out the kick stand between the rockers. This position has a nice recline and would be good to use for feeding or sleeping.
The toy bar is kind of lame. It is flimsy and they toys (two small stuffed animals)just Velcro on. I'm sure once DD gets older she will be able to just rip them off.
