This little office accessory is not only a must for the workplace but we have one for our home also. There was a time when you could throw credit card receipts, bank offers, and just about anything in the trash....not anymore. Identity theft is on the rise and it is best to destroy anything which might be used by thieves to use and destroy your good credit. That's why we bought a second Fellowes PS-70 Shredder for the home.

This machine shreds just about anything. However, if the envelope is too thick you have to reverse the motor several times to get it through the shredder. I have shredded cds and credit cards with no problems. But it does make an awful racket when the cd is sent through.

This model has an on/off/reverse switch. A green light tells you it is on. I also like the window so you can see when the basket needs to be emptied.

At about 11/2 feet in height, it will hold a lot. I like this much better than the smaller ones which need attention after a few shreddings. We get so much junk mail, we keep it well fed. However, since it is a little larger than the table toppers, you will need an inconspicuous corner to set it in.

So far, we have had it a year and it has never needed to be serviced. I know from personal experience that many shredders just don't shred documents well enough to be considered theft proof. This model makes it theft proof.

I know the company says you can send staples through it, but I would be cautious about that. I have seen staples jam bigger machines than this one. Just remember that it is a machine, machines are delicate and treat it well and it should last a very long time.
