More than a game

I've had Falcon 4.0 for about 18 months now. When I got it, the sim sold for approximately $50. It's a steal at today's prices. Buy.com is selling it for less than $20!!!

The simulation is very tough to master. If you're looking for a modern aircraft sim that will challenge, this is definitely for you. As mentioned in other opinions, the learning curve is very steep. There is a lot to learn from that 600 page user's manual. If you're in to arcade games, this is not for you. This simulation is difficult, yet rewarding to master. As I stated above, I've had this game for over a year and I'M STILL LEARNING.

Granted, the sim was released with many bugs and Hasbro support is non-existent but there are many third parties working to improve this sim. Be sure to add the 1.08 patch from Microsoft and then visit iBeta at http://www.ibeta.com for the Realism Patches. Also be sure to visit the Falcon 4 Headquarters at http://www.f4hq.com for the latest patches and fixes.

This sim is far from dead! It just needs some care and feeding!

I've flown numerous campaign missions online with some virual squadmates and these have been some of the most thrilling moments that I've enjoyed with any sim!

Falcon 4.0 represents one of the last in a dying genre, ultra-realistic flight sims. Nowadays, there are few developers willing to take the time to develop realistic flight sims. They are far more interested in eye-candy than making it right.
