FIFA has room to improve; But not much
Date of Review: Aug 2, 2008
The Bottom Line: Fifa, like all games will have faults; But you have to look past that and see the epic game at its face value. Now go have fun.
Im not going to provide much back story and whatnot, because I know people looking for reviews need information.
The game is very, very fun.
It gives you the ability to customize player, club, league, and more.
There is no create a team option, but that is less of a worry, when you are too busy playing as your own player to worry about a team.
Manager Mode (ie. Career Mode) carries you on a journey with a club throughout the league, where you will invest money in your team, field and staff, to make better of your stadium, training, and scouts. Its very fun, yet there is sometimes just a little too much to worry about at times.
Gameplay is great, unless you are looking for a high impact "Shake em up" game. This isnt FIFA Street, this game is expected to be at a much slower pace. The controls are fairly good, although the shoot button is sensitive as hell, you will come to learn when to tap it. Passing is great, except for the few minor wrong man passes.. Along with the few illegal moves you and your opponents both can pull off when the refs don't notice. Great game altogether on this side, it just requires some practice, and some getting used to the controls.
Sound Quality is excellent, there is a great sound track that is almost rock-oriented, but if you are more into another style, as I am, you can just kick into your 360 menu and play some of your own music while your scoring goals and making plays.
