Fast and great features

Very happy with this camera. I use it mainly for snapshots of friends and outdoor scenes, and it consistently produces great images. The best thing though is how fast it is - very quick to start up and between images. Battery life is fantastic.

Mind you I bought a fast memory card to go with it, which I would recommend, especially to take advantage of the video. Each image size winds up being a couple of meg, so the card should be large as well as fast.

With 7 megapixels the limiting factor on image quality is how steady you can hold it. Being so small and light (fits easily into jeans pocket) steadiness is an issue.

I love the burst mode. You just hold down the trigger and it shoots off 2 - 3 frames a second - great if you want to be sure of having at least one shot of your human subject with a nice expression in their face.

It comes without a protective pouch at all, so you might want to consider this at the same time as the purchase.

Incidentally it took me ages to get the video files to play back on my computer properly (the video was much slower than the sound). Instally the DirectX 9 didn't help. What finally solved it was downloading the latest/complete MPEG4 codec.
