Once you go Glass you never go back

Years ago, this review would not have been valid, as years ago, glass bottles were the only choice you had! Nowadays, there are bottles of every size, shape, color and feature out there. People are forgetting the simplicity, ease and comfort of a traditional glass bottle.

Here are the pros:

1) Glass bottles can be dishwashed with little to no etching. They always look clean.
2) Glass bottles are super easy to clean with hot water if you don't use a dishwasher.
3) Glass bottles are not made with harsh plastics whose chemical contents cannot be verified.
4) Glass bottles keep breastmilk or formula warm for a longer period of time.
5) Glass bottles are tough--a lot tougher than people think.
6) Glass bottles are not as expensive as a few of the trendy plastic bottle brands out there.
7) I have never had a gas/fussiness problem using the Evenflo glass bottles.

Now, the Evenflo glass bottles are even easier as the nipples can be purchased at almost any store. The bottles come with a slow flow rubber nipple which seems perfect for the newborn (my son did well with it). The other nipple flows can be purchased for about $2.00 a pack. You can purchase silicon or rubber, whichever your child prefers.

I was originally nervous to switch to glass, after having had success with the plastic Evenflo bottles. But then I thought about WHO feeds my son. Usually an adult was holding the bottle--adults are far less likely to throw the bottle across the room!

We have now travelled with the glass bottles and used them daily in the home. They have held up well. We have had no breakage at all! I should note we do not let our son hold or throw the bottles around, that wouldn't be a smart choice--Then again, I wouldn't want plastic bottles with milk and juice thrown around either! :)

The Evenflo glass bottles come in packs of 3 and can be purchased in 8oz size or 4oz size. I recommend a pack of each at $5.00 a pack. I bought mine at BabiesRUs.

Overall, I am comforted knowing I have a chemical free material that I am using to feed formula or breastmilk to my child in. These bottles may not have a fancy design, but it is their simplicity and cleanliness that makes them classy!
