First-Off this game is not for everybody. If you are looking for the next Real Time, Mission Based, Quick Clicking Game, then stay away. If you are looking for a political, commercial, and military simulation of the world around 1492, then purchase the game.
I found-out about the game last August when it was still in beta testing. The beta testers had written stories of their adventures from 1492-1792. It kept me coming back looking for more. The game finally arrived in the U.S. in February without much fanfare.
The game places you as an adviser to the ruler of a country starting in 1492. This is somewhat different then your normal conquest game because rulers come and go but you remain. Your ruler has a rating for military, domestic and diplomacy. You must keep-up with your neighbors in trade, military, alliances, exploration, etc.. All in real time!
This is not a conquer the world game. In fact, if you attempt to over extend your boarders too much the AI will gang-up on you.
Sound and Graphics are both Average, but how many strategy games have great graphics.
