Great Guitar for your Bucks

Pros: Feels great, looks awesome, sounds excellent, and costs lots less.

Cons: A bit top heavy, sometimes I get a rattle on the low E

I purchased the G-400 at a used dealership for a first guitar... and I've never regretted it. I love the SG's shape, and this was definitely a great find. It has good sustain, tone, and feel... the only problem is the top heavy neck, but that can be overlooked for the price. I've had no trouble so far, besides self-inflicted damage (airport personnel put a crack in it, but I got it professionally repaired and the guitar has suffered no change in sound or playability). Definitely a great buy for someone who wants an great SG without paying 1000 dollars for it.
