The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack

As a faithful player of The Sims for years now I just had to buy The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack. I have purchased every other expansion pack so it was a must have as far as I am concerned. The Sims 2 for those of you who have played it, is a great stimulation and role play game. It resembles a dollhouse type game which can be played from children to adults with the same fun factor to go around no matter the age.

In order to install The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack you must first have a true copy of The Sims 2 Original game installed. Upon putting The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack into your cd rom you will be asked for the cd key which can be found on the white box inside of the game pack. You must also have CD 4 of the original Sims 2 game handy because it will be needed to complete installation of The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack.

Like I said great for any age, no nudity unless you add it yourself with a hack. This is not recommended as it could mess up the way the game runs. The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack runs flawless and doesn't conflict with my other expansion packs. I have them all and game still runs great!

The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack will allow you to open stores in the community of your choice. Existing ones or ones you create yourself. You can let it be run by the community it's self or allow your sim to use the phone or computer to purchase the lot for their own business. You can also open a home business using the phone or the computer . In the decorative section you will see a sign of green color. You will need to place this on the lot where you are opening the business. This allows you to open/close or call in your employees. You also hire your employees by phone or computer as well.


There will be a menu in the corner once you open your business. This will let you see your employees, their assigned jobs, the wage that they are paid. Another spot shows you the income you have made and are making at the time your viewing it. If you go home from your business you can call in to check with the manager to see how your business is going.

You have to hire cashiers, stock persons, people to tidy up after the store, sales people, stock people and even a manager to watch over the store. You can fire anyone at any time. Keep in mind employees will quit if not happy with pay or if they do not get enough breaks or refresh time while working. It is always a good idea to watch the employees as close as you can. Adults, elders and teens can control things in a store. Though a teen can not actualy own a business. Kids can go to the lot, purchase items, but can not control employees.


If you have made good friends with another sim you have the option to transfer lot ownership to that person and the business will become that sims business from that point on. If the owner dies, the ownership goes to the spouse or oldest child of that sim for them to take over.

Your sims earn badges in this game much like the skill points earned in the original. They must keep at sales to get a sales badge bronze silver or gold. And so fourth for stocking and cashiering or what ever the case may be for that sim and what the job of that sim is.

Many objects can be sold in your home store or community store. Nearly every object from toaster to television, to bathtubs and stoves. Anything you choose really. You get to set the price. There is a ticket machine that charges customers. I recommend waiting to use a charging ticket machine until you gain customer loyalty. A customers loyalty is rated by stars 5 stars being the highest of loyalty. Customers who are not made happy or taken care of will lose stars and they may not come back to shop. The more loyal customers you have in your store the higher rank your business gets, the more awards your business wins and the more business rewards you get.


I can't say much more with out giving the entire game away. All I can say is that I love this expansion pack. It was well worth the money. I got it at Walmart department store for $29.99 and was and still am so glad to have it. I recommend this and all other expansion packs like it for The Sims 2.

To be honest so far The Sims 2 Open For Business Expansion Pack is my favorite of all expansion packs that are available. A lot of work to keep it going. More challenging and different from the others. You also get new objects , walls, hair, uniforms and so fourth. You can even open fast food places, department stores, toy stores, electronic stores, gyms, and so much more. Great game and highly recommended.
