Eddie At His Best

If you have a sense of humor, this show oughtta leave you rolling on the floor. Some of the best stand up work eddie has ever done, pulling out his best bits. He work mastery on such topics as sex and gender conflicts, racial comparison, childhood, cursing and more (and if you don't like swearing, stay away 'cause this show is loaded - it's a dirty and raunchy laugh riot).

When I first watched this, I was fifteen years old and it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen and left my belly aching from laughter. Later I would realize that much of eddie Murphy's standup is completely based on Richard Pryor (and Chris Rock would follow Murphy with the same style), but I give Murphy credit for a tremendous comedy performance. He really does a great job flowing cleanly from bit to bit, sometimes using segues, sometimes just naturally flowing from one topic to the next and often returning to an earlier joke for repeated comic effect.
