Author's Review
For the price of this camera, you can't get much better. My husband and I both have one - they take good pictures (not great, like you would get with the 10 mega pixels, but you definitely get by with them). My husband had his in Afghanistan for a year, and even through the severe weather (hot/cold, sand/dust) it still works even after packed with over 300 pounds of military gear. The only problem with it now is that he dropped it and the battery cover cracked - but it's so durable it still works.
We don't have any issues with this camera. If you want a good camera to take artistic pictures, and be able to manipulate the lighting, have a fast zoom, etc - then don't get this. There are limited features, for those of us that don't have time to mess around with gimmicks. If you want sound with the short videos (I can only get 29 second videos), then don't get this; it's completely silent, and I rarely ever use this feature.
But if you're clumsy like me, are afraid to get a camera that you might break, and just want pictures for every day use - then this is great. I have no qualms with it, and we'll probably use them for another 5 years or so before getting anything better. It definitely gets the job done. We were able to get both of our cameras for around $75 each, 2 years ago - and it's the camera that I go for first when buying a present for a child or teenager - only because I have tested it and know how well it works, knowing that it will not break easily.
You just can't beat the quality you get with the price. The pictures come out clear - I even cropped some of our wedding photos taken with the camera, and the details still came out fairly well.
