A good basic snap-shooter.

Must buy memory card.
The Bottom Line:
If you don't want to spend the equivalent of a mortgage payment on a digital camera, this is the deal.

Author's Review
I purchased this camera because I needed one, and basically just grabbed the first cheap one I saw. And for this price, I believe I grabbed well.
It's easy enough to use, just turn it on, aim, click. Although there are menus full of features, I really never bothered with them much, using this basically just for snapshots and incidental pictures, and for that purpose, it does it's job well. It cycles comparatively quickly between pictures, there's no long, agonizing wait between photos, as I've seen with other digital cameras.
Resolution is quite good, and you can enlarge the photo to some extent. As long as you don't get carried away with zooming and cropping, it'll hold it's own. There is no zoom, so with a 37mm equivalent field, you need to get really close to things you want to get a detailed picture of. There is a "digital zoom" which isn't really a zoom at all, just an automatic enlarge and crop, so there's really no point to it, you can do that in software.
The built-in flash is not exceptionally powerful, so it's really more at home outdoors with well-lit scenes than it is indoors. And, you do need to buy a memory card to take more than just a few photos.
The software includes all kinds of sharing things, enhancing things, and so on, but I installed only the actual camera connection software, which installed without a hitch, and worked flawlessly on my 98SE machine.
To this little camera's credit, one of the first things I did with this camera was drop it on the kitchen floor. The batteries came out... and that's all that happened. The thing still worked, and that says a lot about the durability of the unit. I expect it will last quite a long time.
I'm sure this camera can do much more than I'm asking it to do, and I don't ask it to do much, just take pictures. I'm no Ansel Adams and this isn't a medium-format Rollei. But it's a good little camera for everyday use.
