My problems with Garmin Edge 305

Date of Review: Feb 26, 2007

When I bought this very expensive system, I was under the belief that I could run and track three separate bikes. I immediately sent in for two more cadence/speed pickups, for another $230 dollars. First, when they came, they would not interface with the Garmin unit. I sent an E-mail to Garmin, per the literature, and have never gotten a responce. They still don t work. I even bought and replaced the batteries. Second, the unit will not keep track of total miles so you still need a second computer/speedometer if you want to track your total miles on each bike. Third, after you get tired of looking at their cool graphs, you realize that if you re like me and want to keep track of miles, average miles per hour, heart rate and average heart rate, you just spent a lot of money for over kill.

Pros
Cool looking graphs.
Cons
Way to much money for what I need.
