Cool looking, functional controls, but really doesn't brown evenly
Pros:
Looks, controls, large slot opening
Cons:
Browns unevenly, but still produces a piece of toast
The Bottom Line:
Buy it, but be prepared to fiddle with the control to find the right combination of darkness on either side.

Author's Review
I read the previous epinion and that combined with other information, I purchased the dulalit 2-slot toaster. The controls are simple, so operation is easy. The slots are enormous, accommodating the biggest breads, etc. that I'd ever use, Darkness is controlled by a 1-8 dial, but have never gotten beyond '3'. I can't imagine what 8 would do for toast, unless you stick in solidly frozen bread. Maybe bagels would deserve a crank or two, but for toast and English muffins, it's a 2.
Now the bad news. There's a marked toasting difference in the outside of the slot and the inside center of it. In other words , one side of a piece of toast is perfectly brown and the other side closest to the middle is notably darker.
Here comes the bizarre part. The owner's manual actually admits that the toaster will differentially brown toast, caused by the increased heat generated towards the toaster center...WHAT??? You mean you can't build a toaster that takes this probably pretty common phenomenon into account and design it so it evenly browns the two sides? Simply amazing, or should I say, stupid for a toaster costing $60+ .
That said, since I never get above '2' on the scale, the absolute difference is not great. The design is chic and cool to the touch. It does have a fairly big footprint.
