Great Dora Episodes with Diego Including One with Penguins

This DVD contains two episodes that include Diego, who is Dora’s cousin and now has his own show called Go, Diego, Go! There are also two bonus episodes to enjoy. Dora the Explorer is a great show for preschoolers to learn problems solving and other basic things while enjoying the adventurous show.

In the first episode called “Meet Diego” Dora helps her animal rescuer cousin, Diego, rescue animals. The main goal is to save the baby Jaguar on top of a waterfall. Along their way following Map’s directions they learn a little about animals, such as where polar bears live, however, it is nowhere near like the animal facts learned in the Go, Diego, Go! spin-off that came some time after this episode.

The second episode is called “To the South Pole.” In this episode Dora and Diego help a penguin get back to his home at the South Pole. This is the best Dora episode ever in my opinion, but then again as someone who loves Antarctica and penguins in general I am a little (okay, very) biased. It is a fun episode even if the kids are not big penguin fans because it is unique in presenting an episode in a cold environment with Dora and Diego wearing winter clothing instead of their normal outfits.

The third and fourth episodes are bonus episodes and you have to select them to play from the Episode Selection Menu. The third one is called “Little Star.” In this episode Little Star falls from the sky and Dora must take the star back to the Moon. Along the way Dora uses problem solving that includes solving a counting riddle to cross the Troll’s bridge.

The fourth episode is called “Wizzle Wishes.” This episode starts with Dora reading a book about a Wizzle (little furry guy that reminds me of Furbies) and his wishes. As the wished escape from the Wizzle and the Wizzle chases the wish the wish and the Wizzle come out of a book. When the Wizzle tries to wish himself back home the wishes float away and thus begins the episode’s adventure of getting to the wishes to help get them back for the Wizzle.
