Do you like to spend money?
Pros:
roomy back seat. mostly comfortable.

recalls, maintenance nightmare, bad service, transmission faulty, head gasket problems, plenty more!
The Bottom Line:
Don't bother with this car. It was cheap in the beginning, but you spend a lot of time in the shop with costly repairs.

Author's Review
I purchased this car new in 1995. After 3 recalls in 2 years, I began to suspect this car was not a good purchase. Unfortunately, I was right. Several dealership visits, they never could find the noise (that is still plaguing this car), the transmission at 50,000 was costly, the head gaskets at 50,000 (a bit early, I'd say) was also costly, a clutch binding problem (never correctly diagnosed). The car only has 68,000 on it now, several leaks, funky idling, reverse is still tough to engage.
In short, don't get one. If Dodge was smart, they'd fix these issues with newer models, but I wouldn't trust 'em. I certainly will never buy another Stratus.
I'd have to have a pretty compelling reason to even buy a Dodge in the future.
