MVP - MOST VALUABLE PRODUCT
Date of Review: Feb 16, 2000
I posted this the same as the Dirt DevilUltra MVP. I thought they were the same product.
I purchased this product after borrowing my relative's vacuum. I couldn't run to the store fast enough!!! This vacuum is absolutely worth the money, every single cent!
This model is a self contained unit that keeps 99.9% of dust that it pulls up. The canister itself is made of clear plastic, and you are able to see how much dirt is retrieved with each use. The unit has four swiveling wheels that make it very easy to push or pull in any direction. The handle has a thick rubber coating that makes it "slip" proof, and easier to control. The cord is extra long, and has a clip to hold for easy storage. As an added bonus, there is a molded accessory holder in the rear of the body which the attachments snap into for easy removal & storage. The vacuum also has a hose that can be detatched from the base, and expands out to an exceptionally long length to get the hard to reach areas behind furniture, etc. This MVP model also has a light to help you see to help aid in complete cleaning. There is also a "hepa" filter attached to the side of the body, that is easy to install, and that only needs to be replaced once a year. My vacuum has 12 amps and is so powerful that it actually pulled "pile" back up on an old carpet.
Upon completion of use, all you have to do is remove the canister, and pull out the "perma" filter and brush off any excess dust and fuzz that it picks up with a dust brush. The rest of the dirt, and etc. can be dumped out from the canister. This "perma" filter is washable to help maintain the life of the vacuum. Make sure it is absolutely dry before using again, or it can burn up this appliance.
I can not say enough, but I am in love with this vacuum. If you are in the market for something that will save your carpet, and clean thoroughly in cracks & crevices, you can not go wrong with the Dirt Devil MVP.
