Good for small messes

I have three dogs, that alone should tell you why I purchased this vacuum.   I have handhelds which force me to bend over, I have a regular vacuum that is heavy and require lugging to use, I also have a steam cleaner.    I should also add I have a swiffer sweeper (non motorized one) that does nothing.  In other words, I am slightly obsessive when it comes to my floors and cleaning in general.

With three dogs I have an unruly amount of hair on my floors not to mention the dirt and other debris they track in during one of their numberless outdoor adventures.      In the past I would roll out my HUGE heavy vacuum at least 4 times a week to vacuum up the flying hair from my hardwood and tile floors.    After getting sick of that I reduced to a handheld vacuum to would allow me to hit spots and vacuum only a couple times a week.  However this caused me to bend over 100 times or crawl around my floors…NOT FUN. 

So then I saw this handy little gadget and figured I would give it a try.    When I removed it from the box it was super easy to snap together.   I comes in three separate pieces and you literally just snap them together.     I hated that I had to let it charge for 24 hours (per the instructions) before my first use, but I listened to the book.

When my 24 hours had passed I grabbed my new handy vacuum and went to town.   I was immediately in love.   I could run around the house, whisk up dog hair, human hair, dirt, crumbs, leaves, styrofoam crumbles from the box this stick vacuum arrived in and anything else I saw on the floor.     I didn’t have to bend, push, pull or anything else.  The stick vacuum weight all of 3.5 lbs.

When I was all done I thought I only had to press one button to empty to dirt container but I also had to remove an additional filter to empty.   This is not a negative because it’s very easy, just one step everyone probably thinks they won’t have to do.

I don’t know about the battery life.  I generally get around my house in about 10 minutes and it last well during that time. 

I only have one negative to list for this item.   It has broom type bristles surrounding the open area when the dirt is to be sucked in.    Those darn bristles grab and hold onto everything, so after using I have to clean the bristles off too.    The better solution I think would have been a foam or other soft, non-gathering, material.
