Not worth it.... unless it works

I've had this for approximately 5 months, and I've just gotten my third one. All have died due to poor quality, or other problems (none of which include poor wiring or electrical storms). I guess the nice thing has to be the service, each time it goes out it is replaced within a day, and one of their employees personally drops it off at my house. Since they work 6 days a week, I have been impressed by Directv's service.
The the other nice thing has to be the storage amount. Compared to my old Tivo, this one holds over 4 times as much for the price I was paying each month.

Overall, I think it is a decent replacement for a Tivo if you have had issues with it, but if your demands are not met to your standards, I wouldn't recommend it
