H20 good for DTV not so good for off air
Pros:
Good picture on DTV (aren't they all)
Cons:
Pixelization on off air digital video, DTV will stick you with a two year.
The Bottom Line:
Fast video will pixelize off air, be sure to demo this receiver. Remember, DTV will force you into a two year contract just for turning it on.

Author's Review
Bought the H20 from Best Buy first of the year because the price and availability of the RCA atsc21 was so unrealistic. The first rip came after DirecTv sneeked in a two year contract just for activating this receiver! No HDTV package, just to use it. I live approximately five miles line of sight, literally, from all of the transmitters in the market, I can see them all ( I live at the top of the county. I get a 100% signal on all off air channels with a pair of rabbit ears no matter if they are closed up or fully extended. The problem lies in the speed of the picture change, when it is reasonably slow the picture is perfect but, when it goes to quick camera moves or cars going by quickly or the worst, when a picture of confetti rains down, you guessed it, the pixelization is a real problem. I thought it was the public station I have it on most of the time but after watching it more carefully, it does it to all the off air channels. I've gotten zero help from DTV, (go figure) and nothing from Phillips, yet. The other thing that is a bit of an annoyance is that when the local digital channels are setup, the channel menu also shows the base channel number, even if you do not subscribe to them and you cannot remove that number from the string. The remote control is also hard to navigate with one hand as the numbers are at the back of the remote and the guide and info buttons are also small and hard to locate.
Since Best Buy was the only outlet available without going to the Evil Empire (DTV) it had to be purchased without demonstration, a real mail order bride.
Make sure you demo one before you buy!
