Best Ever

As I have said in another post, I am a vacuum collector. I am very picky when it comes to vacuums. For quite a while now I have wanted a Dyson. I originally wanted the canister but with moving into a two floor townhouse with almost all carpet I decided that I needed something with a belt driven brush.

On black friday my fiance and I went to Best Buy. I picked up the Dyson DC14 Full Gear. I thought paying over $500 for a vacuum was a little crazy but I said ah what the hell. I bought it after waiting in line for 2.5 hours. When I took it home I was happier than a pig in a mud pit. I had taken it to my parents house. I took it out of the box and put it together. I put the air driven nozzle on and was playing with that. When I went to switch from bare floor to carpet it didn't work. :-( I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I called customer service and to my dismay it was broken. They sent me a new one no questions asked with in a week. That made me happy.

OK so in december we moved to our townhouse. I have put the dyson to the test. It works wonderful. We have beige carpet with a gray haired cat. I also have 4 other roommates who live with me. It picks up everything. It grooms the carpet everytime. I swear by the vacuum.

This thing is very durable. I was cleaning the stairs one night and I turned around to move but accidentally kicked the vacuum. That sent it flying down the stairs. The dyson made one hell of a mark in the wall but didn't do anything to the vacuum.

It is very easy to empty the vacuum which is nice. No dust cloud at all. The hepa filter is the best thing ever invented. Sometimes I suffer from bad allergies. It clears the air perfectly.
