Nice design, but spray first!

We bought this rice cooker after many botched attempts at cooking rice in a saucepan on the stove. It is advertised as non-stick, and the cooked rice does not stick to the pot. However, boil-overs occur. So, I spray the pot (even though it's non-stick) with a butter or olive oil cooking spray before adding the rice and water and found that boil overs are prevented. We have used this to cook many different types of rice and they all come out very well. Add-ins are easy to use too; we've used bouillon and spices, soy sauce, etc. and cooked all together for different flavors. Make sure you have the chart for measurements handy when using this cooker. Like the design and retractable cord, and now prefer to spray and avoid a mess.

Another feature of this is the steamer basket that sits on the top of the rice pot. Haven't used it yet, but the directions give a number of recipes so you can cook rice and steam simultaneously.
