The BEST baby carrier!

The Bottom Line: My must-have item! A great alternative to the front-pack, especially in the first few months out of the infant carrier.
My daughter hit 17 pounds at 4 months, and her fussy time was always in the evening, when I was getting dinner. Carrying her on my hip was what I wanted, but she was always sliding down, and I was killing my back leaning to hold her up. Not to mention I BARELY had one hand to work with. Front carriers are nice, but it's hard maneuver with the baby right on your chest/stomach. And it's so much work to get them in and out, you can't just put her down for a minute to do something. The Hiphugger was EXACTLY what I wanted. It keeps the baby supported on my hip, so I just need one arm around her back - I have my other arm (and even a hand) totally free. Plus, it's SO quick and easy to pop her in and out of it, I use it just to go from the house to the car. It's what gets me through all those quick errands (run into the store, pick-up the dry-cleaning) now that my daughter is out of her infant carrier. There's no hassle getting out a stroller; I just plop her into the Hiphugger and go. I was hesitant to spend $75, sight unseen (it's internet only) but it is well worth every penny.
