Can't rave enough about this wonderful product!

I've been using my Mayawrap slings (yes, that's plural) for over 7 years now. I'm presently toting my 3rd child around in one; she's 22 months and weighs 30lbs.

I am completely addicted to my sling. I don't know how I would get around without it. As my third child has gotten bigger, I use my MacClaren Volo stroller quite a lot, but the sling is the perfect backup. There are times when a stroller isn't practical: when in a crowd like at a parade or the zoo, when you have to climb a lot of stairs, when you want to corral a little one from running away, etc. It's so easy to whip a sling out of your diaper bag or purse, slip it on, toss the baby in, and head off on your way. The mayawrap is compact, lightweight, strong and washable. Plus it comes in lovely colors. I have the blue with white, the teal green with blue, and a mottled red one so I have choices for coordinating with my outfits. Yeah, I know, pretty decadent, but considering I've used them for three kids, I guess I can justify the expense!

Mayawraps are wonderful for babies as well. My little ones loved snuggling between my breasts when they were newborns. As they grew, the sling was worn lower so they could see more of the world and it was easier on my back. By about six months, I could slip them into the hip carry. Even three year olds can be carried around in a pinch by putting them on your back or hip. The Mayawrap is very versatile that way.

The long tail on this sling allows for discreet nursing, but it also makes a nice burp rag in a pinch. There is enough fabric that it can be opened up for an impromptu picnic blanket or to cover up a little one when it's cold out. Genevieve uses it like a comfort object when she's feeling overwhelmed by the big world around her. She likes to clutch it on her knees or in her arms.

The only caveat I have on this product is that you need to work a bit to find the comfort spot when wearing it. Be sure to have the rings in front and just above your breast, NOT near your neck. Also have the strap on the curve of your shoulder--again, NOT near your neck. This from the voice of experience!
