Rita Bella Crib

As first time parent’s we were looking for something that would be inexpensive and that would last through at least 2 kids. For all the time I spent reading articles online I wish I would have researched cribs a little better. But since I was a little hormonal when we went shopping I saw this crib and loved it especially because of the price, so we just had to buy it.

We bought the floor model from the store because it was such a good deal, so it didn't come with instructions. However, my husband helped the sales girl take it apart so he could put it back together when we got home. We also bought the matching changing table which fit fully assembled into our car. When we got home we had no problem reassembling it. And except for a few minor scratches it looked great. It does seem a little wobbly and not as sturdy as I would expect, but only time will tell how it holds up.

I love that it has a storage drawer although it doesn't hold much in it. I can fit a couple of sheets and blankets, but if I try to put too much in it won’t close. It does get stuck if you don't pull it straight out from the middle, but not a big deal. It is nice that it has 3 height settings and this is where I have some issue. Our daughter didn't really use the crib until she was 6 months old so we used the first 2 settings and had no problems. Now that she is standing and trying to climb up the bumper we lowered it to the lowest setting. I am too short to comfortably reach the bottom of the crib without putting the side down and this is my one major complaint. The drop down side doesn't slide down very easily and when I put it back up it is extremely loud when locking back into place. It’s so loud that it wakes my daughter up. So now I have to kill my ribs leaning over the rail to put her down and pretty soon I don't know what I’ll do since I will have a nice round belly from the new baby we are expecting.
