Great hardware, goes down from there.

I just bought this card and really like it. But there are some problems.
But first whats good. Its not too difficult to set up the hardware. There are good pictures showing you how to set it up. Comes with everything you need to get up and running.
But there are some problems with it. First of all is the Creative software that comes with it. They give you 6 programs when really only 2 are needed. It is impossible to find one specific control in all of it. For me to find the option to have the speakers muted when I have headphones plugged in took me at least an hour.
Another problem is the remote. It's a good remote but you can't use the main buttons, play, pause, etc on regular programs like WMP or iTunes, only with the included media player which is not great. And if you accidently press the "play" button then it starts playing media from it's media folder which I can't seem to find on my computer.
And lastly to fully enjoy the sound you need digital speakers or a digital connection to your stereo.
But overall it's a great sound card and the negatives are things you can probably live without.
