I bought the Conair GMT 180 Deluxe Beard & Mustache Trimmer as a gift for myself apx. 8 years ago! I paid $15 for it. I got tired of getting nicked each time I tried to shave my legs or bikini area, so I decided to try a mans shaver/trimmer.
This shaver comes with a rechargeable stand, which also is a storage stand for the parts. It also includes a beard comb, 5 level adjustable beard trimmer attachment, lubricating/cleaning oil & a cleaning brush.
To keep this trimmer operating smoothly, I keep it on the charger when not in use. A requirement to keep it from locking up is to put a drop of oil on the blades, turn it on for a few seconds to work the oil, turn it off, then wipe off excess with a lint free cloth. Also use the cleaning brush to brush the blades after each use. Be careful not to lose the brush like I did. If you do, use an old toothbrush in it's place.
You can also use this to trim a child's baby fine hair. My grandsons are old enough to have their hair trimmed now and this is a fast and easy way to do it. They don't have to sit & be patient while I use scissors and a comb. This makes it painless for a small child that has plenty of energy to be running around. The adjustable attachment works wonders with this method.
My husband has his own shaver to use, however, this trimmer works well when he needs to just trim down his beard and mustache quickly. He keeps it fairly short, so he doesn't need to use the adjustable attachment.
I love the way this trimmer does for shaving my legs. It is simple, easy and leaves no nicks on my skin. The best shave on my legs is when I use an oil or lotion on my legs prior to using the trimmer.
I also use this trimmer for bikini area shaving. Yes! I said bikini area... Works wonderfully! I am so pleased with the results. No bumps, no rash, no irritation all equal NO problems! It is fabulous!
Some say this is a quiet trimmer. I personally think it is a bit noisy compared to other trimmers or razors I have heard. The noise is tolerable and not an issue when the product itself can do so many things!
Considering that there are reviews of men who use this product, I thought a female's opinion of the product might be a different perspective. I prefer this product over other items available to women for our shaving needs.
