Clinique: A Perfectly Natural Blush!

Recently, when my favorite blush began running low, I decided to go ahead and purchase some more. Much to my dismay, the brand and color that I loved was suddenly, and without warning, discontinued. My mother loves Clinique products, and, since she was with me, talked me into stopping by the Clinique counter at our local department store. After pouring over the selection of blushes, I finally decided to purchase the Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in the shade of Plum Gorgeous.

For a compact (.27 OZ) of Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher, I paid $15.99 at our local Belk's department store. Clinique products are sold at fine department stores, and prices may vary.

My Blushing Experience!

With my fair skin, I have a difficult time finding a blush that blends well and doesn't make me look "made up." Hence, why once I find a shade that works, I tend to stick with it. I was a bit hesitant about using a new makeup product, let alone the new color, but after one application, I knew I had found a new favorite blush!

Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher goes on with ease, since it's a very soft powder that blends easily with the skin. With this blush, one quick sweep of my cheeks is all it takes for a wonderfully warm natural looking color. The color that I chose adds the perfect hint of color without washing out my skin tone. Unlike my previous blush, I found that the powder of Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher was a lot lighter and softer.

Despite it's light feel, this blusher lasts! One application is all it takes for a full day of beautifully colored cheeks. At night, this blush washes off as easily as it is applied, and with its hypoallergenic formula, it doesn't irritate my skin. I have combination skin, and this blush, even when applied over my often oily cheeks, didn't absorb into and clog my pores. No matter what your skin tone, Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher is sure to come in the perfect shade!

A Great Compact, But A Horrible Brush!

The Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher comes in the traditional Clinique compact casing. It's an extremely durable jade colored compact with mirror and applicator brush. One of the first things I noticed was that applying the blush with the enclosed brush is a big no no! The brush, with its skinny jade colored handle, and rough bristles just doesn't apply this great blush like it should. While at the Clinique counter, pick up a better applicator brush!

Overall Opinion

I would certainly recommend Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher. This blush, with its wide array of soft, warm colors is truly a natural and soft way to add a hint of color! Hypoallergenic, and easy to wash off, this blush is a must in any makeup bag!
