Everyone from history buffs to history teachers will find that this magazine is a very useful resource. In-depth articles, articulate writing and interesting stories make this magazine a very interesting read.
Each issue contains diary excerpts, battle stories and/or strategies, and fascinating insights into the world of the 1860s. As a Civil War buff who has read a variety of materials about the time period, I still learn several new things after reading every issue. Is is obvious that the writers and editors go to great lengths to find stories to write about each month.
In my opinion, this magazine is a must-have for any school or personal library - I have yet to find another that equals it. I would definitely recommend it.
