Honda Odyssey EX vs. Chrysler T & C Limited

Date of Review:  Nov 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: Test drive the Honda and the Chrysler. Look for quality and creature comforts. Remember, this isn't the old Chrysler, but Mercedes Benz also. You may be pleasantly surprised.
Review: I like to do my homework before buying a vehicle. I've owned an '89 Dodge Grand Caravan, '91 Plymouth Grand Voyager, '96 Chrysler T & C and then I had to decide... would it be a 2003 Honda Odyssey EX or Chrysler Town & Country Limited? Consumers...

Wish I had kept my '93 Transport!

Date of Review:  Jun 13, 2007
The Bottom Line: I would never buy this car again. I could have loved this car, but hate it, because of unreliability. I could spend a fortune fixing problems that don't get fixed.
Review: We replaced my 1993 Pontiac Transport 2 1/2 months ago with the 2003 Town & Country minivan. I absolutely loved it at first, until I started having stalling problems, about 2 weeks ago. The car has been in the shop, or stuck in parking lots more...

Buyers do your research - a lot of it

Date of Review:  Feb 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: Chrysler has reliability ratings. Make sure you do your research and can live with what you find.
Review: My wife and I purchased a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country long wheel base with the family package installed in July of 2003. Let me first begin with the positives then I will proceed to the criticisms:

Positives:
This van rode like a...

2003 Town & Country LX 29K Package-Top of the line

Date of Review:  May 1, 2003
The Bottom Line: You get what you pay for, but the Chrysler Town and Country fits my families needs and wants.
Review: Overall for the $$, Town and Country has my pick for affordable comfort, stlye, and reputation. I would suggest adding the DVD/Video system, but that's just me ;o)

We looked at other models like the Honda Oddessy and Toyota Sienna, but for...

A Honda lover converts to the Town & Country

Date of Review:  Jan 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: A great car experience ruined by a truly terrible local dealer
Review: Let me begin by saying that I love Honda vehicles, I have owned several, and when it was time to replace my wife's current Plymouth Grand Voyager I was all for getting the Honda Odyssey. My wife however liked the look of the Town & Country so to...

Town & Country LX

Date of Review:  Aug 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: Because of the problems, I would not get another town & Country. For the amount of years that Chrysler is making them, they should be more reliable.
Review: Let me start by saying that I only lease cars and vans, so I get new ones every 3 years. We went to the Town & Country from a 1999 Nissan Quest. The Town & Country has a very comfortable interior, good ride and handling and great braking (4 wheel...

2000 Chrysler Town & Country LXi

Date of Review:  Dec 11, 2006
Review: Bought used in 2002 w/ 35k miles. Wife has driven car for 4 years (approx 10k miles/yr). Engine is doing ok. Had foul odor in air conditioner. No filters to replace, too expensive to take apart to find problem. Steering is starting to make a...

2003 Town & Country Limited

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: Caveat Emptor - buyer beware. Keep an eye out for a recall notice for transmission, maybe. Mine developed a serious problem only after 1700 miles.
Review: We got this minivan with a trade-in of 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. We were very satisfied with it - all the creature comforts, relatively quiet interior, nice motorized rear doors, reasonably powerful engine etc.
But at 1700 miles of...

Purchased T&C after considering Sienna, Odyssey, Passport and Pacifica

Date of Review:  Apr 21, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you need AWD, high passenger capacity and luxury then check out the T&C Limited. We were pleasantly surprised - you may be too!
Review: It was finally time to replace our 1995 Ford Explorer.
Wanted "3rd row seating" to provide for lifestyle with school aged children.

Considered SUVs (Passport, MDX), Minivans (Sienna) and Crossovers (Pacifica and others). This is...

2003 Chrysler Town & Country Limited

Date of Review:  Dec 3, 2002
The Bottom Line: The 2003 Chrysler T&C is actually FUN to drive! We look forward to riding in our new "limo" and highly recommend that anyone in the market give it a test-drive.
Review: Please read cuttingedge2's excellent review. I won't attempt to rewrite his work.
We began looking at the Dodge Grand Caravan, thinking that it would be the same van for less money. We were wrong. While the Dodge version is also a solid...
